Facing Taiwan Strait, Chingchou Ocean Recreation Area possesses a broad and beautiful seascape. Accompanied by the gentle seawater, Chingchou Ocean Recreation Area used water recreation as its main theme in building a wide variety of land and water recreational facilities including scenic wood trail, rest pavilion, children’s playground, camp area and beach recreation area and is the most ideal spot for water activities and sight-seeing around Dapeng Bay Scenic Area.Tourist Service Center located at the entrance is the Area’s most characteristic building. Shaped like a bird ready to take off with its spreading wings, the first encounter with the building will take away all stress. Like taking a stroll in the park, a walk in the tree-filled Chingchou Ocean Recreation Area accompanied by lush greens and chirping birds will have one mistaken this seashore walk with a mountain walk; the Area also have fountain, children’s playground and children’s pool for children entertainment.Chingchou Ocean Recreation Area possesses a wood trail with excellent view situated at the front row facing the ocean. Designed in the likeness of the wave, the winding trail further embellished the Area’s overall look with its beauty; the Area also provides visitors with chairs and sunshades so that the visitors may fully enjoy the sea and the breeze in addition to the relaxing sounds of the waves without having to endure the scorching sun and sticky sweats.The vast clean beach will unleash the visitor’s playful spirit. Visitors were seen having fun playing beach volleyball, which requires more skills than playing on solid pavement and let’s not forget endurance under the sun; some visitors were seen busy taking self-portraits with different postures by standing, sitting, and sometimes even by jumping on the nice soft sand while others were busy flying kites on the beach.
