This temple was founded in 1936. Originally it was a wooden structure temple and it used to be enshrined with Yaochi Jinmu, but after being rebuilt, it changed to be enshrined with Quan Yin bodhisattva and the Yu Huang Shangdi (Jade Emperor). Before too long, another building called Shen Tian Shen Tan was built beside the temple and this place became the Way Place for Yi Guan Dao believers. The pond in front of the temple was said to be built by Dutch people when they used to make kilns and porcelain to use it as an irrigation source by blocking the mountain water running towards here. The pond earned its title as "Quan Yin Bei" as a result.
