Due to the chalky soil within the area, after any violent rain all kinds of fossils would be eroded and appear on the river bed, amongst which the 1970 the discovery of the fossilized skull of the Tsuo Chen Man is the most well known. Currently, the museum features an abundance of fossils and other gems, and one of the most interesting is a Hayasaka rhino fossil. There are also fossils of deer, crocodiles, and shellfish; and there are organisms from both water and land.
