Fuzheng Village was once the most prosperous community on the island. However, with a decline in the fish catch, most of the people moved on, leaving behind stone houses, Dongquan Lighthouse and a temple.Visitors can find a sense of peace here in this quiet place, and a culture only to be found in traditional Matsu villages. Characteristic of buildings in Fuzheng are arched roofs and stone block walls, which is quite different from the structures in nearby Qinbi Village.
