Located on the north side of Ximen Elementary School, Tait & Co transitioned from a British sugar and in 1867 camphor merchant to a salt producing firm during the Japanese Occupation Period before becoming the Taiyen office after the war and the Taiwan Development Wax Museum in 1979 (2nd floor). In 2006, Dayuan Early Settlers' Life & Culture Museum was established on the first floor, which combined with the Anping Tree House and Yanshui River Scenic Building and the old residence of Zhu Jiu-ying to create the environment with diversity.
