Cishan Railway Station was built from 1913 to 1915, and some claim that its architecture is an imitation of western style, combining Japanese and Western architecture, Victorian and Gothic styles, and that the building as a whole displays a relaxed, lively rhythm. The light blue exterior is enchanting, and the Station is one of Cishan's most famous landmarks. The Railway Station was closed entirely in 1978, and now provides tourism information, banana products and bike rental services.
