As Kaohsiung is a heavily industrialized city, the National Science and Technology Museum makes use of local character, displaying themes related to technology by collecting and researching technological artifacts. The Museum’s main function is promoting technological education, and it is Taiwan’s largest applied technology museum. Bisected by Jiuru (Jiouru) Road, the Museum is divided into a North Museum and a South Museum, and walking into the spacious, bright exhibition halls is like walking into a door through time and space, drawing the visitor into the palace of science. There is an expansive green area and installation art outside, making the museum an excellent place for learning about science, studying or getting out of the house and resting.
