Hushan Temple enshrines Guanyin Bodhisattva. It is a monastery for the Buddhist monks. In Qianlong 12 Qing Dynasty, a disciple from Pai Sha-keng proposed to build a Buddhist monastery enshrining Guanyin Bodhisattva, and disciple Lai Feng-Kao contributed his mountain and forests to build this monastery. It was one of the three most famous Buddhist monasteries in Changhua in the Qing Dynasty.
