Guogou Village – Old Grape Tree

In 1964, the farmers living at Dacun Township imported 6 Kyoho grape trees from Japan, and planted them in front of their houses. Later, farmers spread the seedlings to other farmers in the village and they prospered. Therefore, grape farming became the major agriculture there, and it had become the home of grapes. Now, two of the six trees still survive. Their new owners gave them utmost care in the past 7 to 8 years, they have survived. Each year, they give plenty of fruit, about three to four times of ordinary grape trees. Their grapes are even tastier.
