Tucked away amid high-tech complexes, the Lake Placid area is a beautiful oasis of trees, flowers and water. It's a place where people can sit back and relax. Drawing water from the Lengshueikeng River, this manmade lake and the open space around it cover about 10 hectares. During lunch hour, high-tech professionals who work in the park flock here to eat their lunches and enjoy the scenery. In early evening many come to jog or stroll on the footpath at the edge of the lake. Although manmade, the lake has long been home to many species of fish and water birds.
