This temple is located at the Zuoyingsia Road, and is known colloquially as the "Great Zuoying Temple". It is the leading temple in Cicia in Zuoying, and was established in the mid 17th Century during the Ming Dynasty. It is dedicated to Syuantian Shangdi (or Beiji Dadi) who is worshipped in Taoism for miraculous powers that can drive away evil and cure illness. Rebuilding began in 1973 and was completed in 1976. The temple has many believers and the God is believed to watch over the residents of Zuoying. In its collection the temple has antique Ching Dynasty plaques and a set of doorway couplets dating back to 1853. In front of the temple there's a Beiji Pavilion and a magnificent Syuantian Shangdi statue. Photos:
