Longshan Temple, listed as 2nd Grade historical site, was approximately built in the early Cian Long period since the earliest tablet inscribed "South Clouds Shining in the East" was dated in the 25th year of the Cian Long period (1760)of the Cing Dynasty. The host deity in the main hall is Guanyin. The temple went through numerous renovations, but is still well maintained with beautiful decorations and rich carved pillars. Most importantly, figures of dragons and phoenix carved on the wooden pillars are master works of Master Yeh, Zong from Tainan. The remaining four stone tablets left from the Cing Dynasty are well kept to commemorate the historical account of renovations. Photos:
