Wufeng Bald Cypress Forest sits amid rice paddies. It takes up a rather small space but boats an elaborate number of orderly aligned bald cypress trees. Compared with bald cypress forests in other counties, Wufeng Bald Cypress Forest is very accessible which is nearby the highway. Visitors need not climb uphill into the mountains nor pay for admission. The leaved branches of Bald Cypress resemble the shape of feathers and change according to the season. Bald Cypress originated from damp areas in the South-East of America and was imported to Taiwan in 1901. It has straight trunk, elegant tree structure and can grow above 50 meters high. Therefore, it is largely used as street tree or garden trees.
