Shoushan Nature Park

Shou Mountain is located in the southwest area of Gushan. Formally known as "Cilin Mountain" and "Maijin Mountain"， it is one of Kaohsiung's coral-based hills， which run north to south. It is one of Kaohsiung's most scenic areas. Shoushan Nature Park is a nature reserve， with a variety of hiking trails throughout the park. There are number of fitness and sports areas along the trails. One of the trails near the entrance to the Shoushan Zoo， lead to limestone caves， where limestone stalagmites and columns can be seen. The top of the mountain offers great views of the Kaohsiung Port， sunsets and Kaohsiung's scenic lights by night.
