The Zhaiming Ancient Trail has 120 years of history. The trail was originally paved with rain flower stones. But in 1923, Jiang Lianzhi (religious name Puhai), the fourth generation grandchild of Ajia, the founder of the Caimin Temple, employed workers to mine stones from Dahan Creek and pave the foot trail with stone slabs. One hundred years ago, this foot trail became a major path of pilgrimage for religious believers in Daxi. Today, one can see many tall trees, which are as old as the ancient trail, along the path from the Tsaiming Temple to the Cuiling Tower. You can see the sun set over Dahan Creek from high ground.
