Once bustling with the shipment of cases back and forth， Shenkeng has since experienced a resurgence as the base of Taiwan's tea trade， but there are a No. of preserved old houses to bring to mind what it must have been like. Chenciouju (Delin) Residence (Delin literally translates as Good Neighbor) is one is once such abode. The architecture seem beﬁtting of the codger who once lived here who fought the Japanese occupation with gusto， since its walls re of local sandstone painted ornately. It also is furnished with 100 year old pieces.
