The mine park is located above Jingtong Train Station and it wasoriginally the epicenter of Shihdi Inclined Pit. Taiyang MiningCompany began excavation of the Shihdi Pit No. 1， No. 2， No. 3and No. 5 in 1937. The colliery， cart lines and train station werebuilt for one purpose: to serve the mining industry of ShihdiInclined Pit. Today what's left of the coal washing station is mottled and dilapidated. The offices， warehouses and cart tracks have long since been invaded with plant life， with little to show for itsprevious splendor， making the criss-cross of tree branches the most interesting sight to see. And yet， the variegated intertwined workings of these invaders can make for some interesting photographic detail， however plain， however intricate.
