Near the Shihfen Station there is a privately held Taiwan Coal MineMuseum. Should one cross the tracks over to Shihfen Station， one may board a bus to the Coal Mine Museum and see how coal is transported. Taiwan Coal Mine Museum is located where the final loads of coal were excavated in 1997. Here remains numerous implements of excavation and culture. There are important records of commemorating the history Taiwan's coal mining industry and there are preserved artifacts and tools definitely worth seeing. The tour guide will speak about the arduous and dangerous work in a step-by-step tour of the original mineshaft to impart upon listeners an understanding of this "Black Gold" industry.
