Next to Taichung Railway Station, Taichung Cultural and Creative Industries Park occupies a space of 5.6 acres. Previously in the Japanese-ruling era, it was Taishō Brewing Joint-stock Company, which was the largest brewery in Taiwan; later on, it’s changed to Taiwan Provincial Tobacco and Liquor Monopoly Bureau in 1957. In February in 2011, the name of Taichung Cultural and Creative Industries Park was finalized and the park is one of the fifth Cultural and Creative Industries Parks supervised by the Ministry of Culture. Evolving from once being an old fashioned brewery, Taichung Cultural and Creative Industries Park gradually becomes the base to actively promote the cultural and creative industries in the city.
