Each of the six trails has its own special features.The trails vary in length and steepness, but are all well planned and built to go along with the lush greenery and abundant wildlife alongside the way.They are ideal for hiking and exercise.The six trails are:Niugangling: The entrance is behind the sculpture park of Guanyinshan Visitor Center. With plants and insects all along the way, this trail is the best route for bird-watching, and the round-trip takes about only 40 minutes.Fulong Mountain: The entrance is beside No. 41, Lingyun Road Section III.There are ancient statues of Guanyin Buddha along the way, and also bamboo forests as well as many cherry trees, especially beautiful in January and February when the trees bloom.At the end of the trail is the famous Lingyun Zen Temple.The whole trip takes about 40 minutes.Yinghanling: The entrance is beside Lingyun Zen Temple, and the trail takes you all the way up to the top of the peak, with good facilities and beautiful sceneries along the way.Fengguidouhu: The entrance is behind the Visitor Center.This is the shortest route to the top of the peak, but also the steepest, a good test of your fitness.Jianshan: This trail is located at the southeastern part of Guanyinshan, including the Five Peaks of Jianshan (Sharp Mountain),a very steep route all the way.However, there are ropes along some parts to assist hiking, providing a special experience.Niuliaopu: This trail extends from Yinghanling to the Left Bank and the ferry by the Tamsui River.It is the longest of the six trails, and requires some stamina.However, there are beautiful views, farms, and orchards along the way to alleviate the feelings of the hardship.
