As its name Lichi, or the Beautiful Pond, suggests, this lake, though small, is full of charms. Many Hsinchu citizens still fondly remember rowing boats here in their youths. Although boating in Lichi Pond is no longer possible, the Nine Curve Bridge and the pavilion built over the water have been restored to their original grandeur. There is beautiful landscaping around the lake, schools of koi swimming in it, and black swans elegantly gliding across it. Visitors can also visit the Glass Arts and Crafts Museum and the Vision Hall of the Wind City, which are nearby.
