The British master architect Richard Rogers took up his pencil with the concept of Modern Kaohsiung, a multicoloured canopy and light, graceful yellow pillars, bringing a design image known as flying. It creates a fashionable atmosphere and the beauty of the structure, which channels rainwater into a series of waterfalls inside the station. Sunlight, running water and the green plants which surround the building make the station as fresh and natural as a forest.
