The Sanfong Temple was built in 1672. This temple has more than 300-years of history and is Southern Taiwan's major Taoist landmark. It is also the largest Taizihye Temple in Taiwan. It is known as "Sankuaicuo Taizihye Temple". It was originally named the Sanfong Pagoda and became the Sanfong Temple after numerous renovations. The existing temple was designed in a Northern Palace style and is quite an impressive sight. The temple consists of three sections, the Front, Central and Rear Halls. The Main Hall is where the God Najha is worshipped. The Sanfong Temple is a popular place to celebrate a variety of temple festivals. During these festivals, the square in front comes alive with fireworks and traffic. This is also a great place to see traditional performers put on spectacular shows. Photos:
