Established in 1995, the impressive main building and architecture of the Kaohsiung Buddhist Temple were rare at that time. It has sparked a long-lasting interest in Buddhism in Southern Taiwan. It is now known as the home of Buddhism in Southern Taiwan. Masters Yueji and Hsing Yun have been appointed to preside over the Buddhist Temple. Great elders such as Cihhang and Kaijheng have visited and shared their wisdom with followers. The main hall is the home of a famous giant Buddha statue and is thought to be the only clay statue in Southern Taiwan. Photos:
