Yuanshan Scenic Area

Yuanshan is one of the five scenic spots in Sanxia. Although its altitude is only 321 meters， you can see as far as Tucheng， Shilin and Banqiao on the top of the mountain. In recent years， the mountain which looks like a flying kite has become a popular hiking destination for its adjacency to Sanxia Old Street. The trail leads to a giant bell in the scenic area on the mountain. The largest copper bell in Taiwan was placed here to commemorate the restoration of Taiwan. Now the Heping bell stand has become the end point of a popular hiking tour. You can enjoy the view on the mountain top and take pictures there. At night， Yuanshan is also a good place for a beautiful night view. In May， you can also see paulownia flowers here. All in all， Yuanshan is a tourist destination worth visiting all year round.
