Spring is the best time of year to make crisp pickled plums. To celebrate this festive season, each year a top artist in conjunction with the Yingge Ceramics Museum designs a special ceramic jar that visitors can get by signing up for the Spring Plum Event. During the festivities the museum provides freshly picked plums, and workers are on hand to guide people through the steps of making these pickled treats. The activity is popular among both children and adults who love to put their own handcrafted plums into the limited-editions jars. After the plums are eaten, the jar can also serve as a container to use in the home!
