Located on the shore of Tai Jian, the temple was established during the Ming dynasty. It is enshrined with Bao Sheng Dadi. Prior to the occupation of the Netherlands, the pioneers of the residence coming from the Mainland had built the temple, which was enshrined with Wu Ben Zhong Lang General Chen Ling. Actually this temple is the earliest temple ever built in Taiwan. In the ruling period of Zheng in Ming dynasty, Ming Prince Ningjing (Zhu Shugui) renamed the temple Kai Shan Temple which refers to the contribution Cheng Ling had dedicated to development.
