Built in 1665. It is also called ''Grand God Temple'' and it worships Xuantain Shangdi. The tablet ''Wei Ling He Yi '' is the oldest one preserved in Taiwan, and it is the only one surviving tablet of the Ming Dynasty. It was once said that Shangdi rests his feet on the turtle and snake. In the Qing Dynasty., in order to consolidate its power, the Qing Government tried to belittle Shangdi and made him the patron god of butcher. But you do not see Shangdi resting his feet on the turtle and snake in Beiji Temple.
